Terms of Use

The rules for using FamFlo — including email and SMS communications. Effective June 4, 2026. Last updated July 10, 2026.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FamFlo platform, including getfamflo.com, care request forms, helper profile forms, helper agreement, payment pages, email and SMS notifications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using FamFlo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who We Are

FamFlo LLC is a personal household connection platform. We facilitate introductions between families seeking household support and independent helpers who provide childcare, cleaning, housekeeping, and related services. FamFlo is not a staffing agency, employment agency, or domestic placement agency. We do not employ helpers, direct their work, set their rates, or manage their ongoing relationship with families. All working arrangements are made directly between families and helpers.

2. The Platform

FamFlo provides a website, online forms, email and SMS communications, and payment checkout to coordinate introductions. Families submit care requests; helpers submit profiles and complete a Helper Network Onboarding Agreement. When FamFlo identifies a fit, we may introduce parties by email and SMS and share contact details after the family pays the applicable connection fee. Personalized payment links (e.g., /payment/?c=…) are sent by email or SMS and do not require a website login.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FamFlo. By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. FamFlo may suspend or terminate access for false, misleading, or abusive conduct.

4. Accounts and Contact Records

Creating a WordPress website account is optional for most FamFlo users. When you submit a form, FamFlo creates or updates a contact record to process your request or application and send service-related emails and SMS (if you provide a mobile number). Your use of forms and checkout constitutes your agreement to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

5. Independent Contractor Status

All helpers introduced through FamFlo are independent service providers, not employees or agents of FamFlo. FamFlo does not control, supervise, or direct helpers in the performance of their services. Families engage helpers at their own discretion. Rate, schedule, duties, taxes, and employment classification are agreed directly between the family and the helper. FamFlo is not responsible for the conduct, performance, or actions of any helper after an introduction.

6. Electronic Signatures and Form Submissions

When you type your full legal name in a signature field on a FamFlo form, you agree that this constitutes your electronic signature. You confirm the information submitted is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you provide a mobile phone number, you also consent to receive transactional SMS from FamFlo as described in Section 9. FamFlo may rely on form submissions and signatures for onboarding, matching, and record-keeping.

7. Connection Fees, Subscriptions, and Payments

FamFlo charges families a one-time connection fee when a successful introduction is made. Fees vary by service type (e.g., babysitting, part-time nanny, full-time nanny, cleaning tiers). Connection fees are processed through WooCommerce and Stripe. Connection fees are non-refundable once paid, except as stated in our rematch guarantee below.

7-day rematch guarantee: If an introduction is not the right fit, FamFlo will make a second introduction at no additional connection fee, provided the family notifies FamFlo within 7 days of the original introduction.

Subscriptions: FamFlo offers optional monthly subscription plans (Essential, Home Plan, Concierge) for families who want ongoing matching support. Subscriptions bill monthly and may be cancelled at any time; no refunds for partial months.

Coupons: Promotional codes may be applied at checkout where offered. FamFlo may modify pricing, plans, and promotions with notice on the Platform.

Helpers are never charged fees to join the network, receive introductions, or earn income through FamFlo. Helpers keep 100% of what they earn from families.

8. Helper Network Onboarding Agreement

Helpers must complete the Helper Network Onboarding Agreement (Form 50 at /helper-agreement/) before being introduced to families. That agreement, including acknowledgements and signature, is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Helpers who breach the agreement or these Terms may be removed from the network.

9. Communications (Email and SMS)

Program name: FamFlo

By using the Platform, providing a mobile phone number on a form, and accepting these Terms and our Privacy Policy, you consent to receive:

  • Transactional emails about your care request, helper application, match status, payment, and onboarding; and
  • Transactional SMS text messages to the mobile number you provide, covering the same service-related topics when FamFlo enables SMS notifications.

What we send. Service-related messages may include request confirmations, match notifications, helper or family contact details, payment links, agreement reminders, and follow-up check-ins tied to your active request or application. FamFlo SMS messages are transactional notifications, not bulk marketing campaigns. Promotional texts, if offered separately in the future, would require additional consent.

Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on where you are in the matching process. You may receive several messages during an active request (for example, confirmation, match notification, and introduction details). We do not send recurring marketing texts on a fixed schedule.

Charges. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

Opt-out. You may opt out of FamFlo SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you text STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation and will not send further SMS unless you opt in again by submitting a new form with your number. For help, reply HELP or contact hello@getfamflo.com or +1 (773) 600-8010.

Email marketing. You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting hello@getfamflo.com. Opting out of marketing emails or SMS does not affect essential transactional messages about an active request or match until that request is closed.

No sale of contact data. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS is delivered through our service provider Twilio under our instructions.

10. User Responsibilities

Families and helpers agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information on all forms and in communications with FamFlo
  • Treat FamFlo staff, families, and helpers with honesty and respect
  • Not use the Platform for unlawful purposes
  • Not misrepresent qualifications, availability, or household needs
  • Keep confidential information shared during the matching process private
  • Not share a family’s home access, security details, or personal information with third parties without consent

11. Non-Circumvention

For twelve (12) months following a paid FamFlo introduction, you agree not to circumvent FamFlo’s matching process by soliciting or engaging the introduced party for the same type of household support outside the Platform in order to avoid connection fees. This protects the integrity of the introduction service. Nothing prevents families and helpers from continuing a relationship that began through FamFlo after the introduction fee has been paid.

12. Termination and Suspension

FamFlo may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, decline to make introductions, or remove a helper from the network if you provide false information, engage in misconduct, breach these Terms or the Helper Agreement, or otherwise harm the safety or integrity of the Platform. Termination does not affect amounts already owed for services rendered.

13. Disclaimers

FamFlo provides an introduction service only. We make no warranty regarding the suitability, fitness, qualifications, background, or performance of any helper or the accuracy of any user-provided information. FamFlo is not a licensed employment agency. Families are solely responsible for verifying credentials, conducting interviews, checking references, performing background checks if desired, and complying with applicable employment, tax, and household employment laws.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FamFlo LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from the relationship between a family and a helper after an introduction, including property damage, personal injury, or employment disputes. FamFlo’s total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall not exceed the connection fees or subscription amounts you paid to FamFlo in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FamFlo LLC from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your relationship with another user after introduction, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

16. Privacy

FamFlo collects and uses personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to that collection and use.

17. Intellectual Property

All content on the FamFlo website, including text, design, images, logos, and brand elements, is the property of FamFlo LLC or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use FamFlo content without express written permission.

18. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Platform shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. FamFlo and you each waive any right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law.

19. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Helper Network Onboarding Agreement (for helpers), constitute the entire agreement between you and FamFlo regarding the Platform.

20. Changes to These Terms

FamFlo may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
